Fashion Revolution Week
Inspired by “Humans Of New York” and the “Inside Out Project”, “Humans of Image Garments” is an art project that uses black and white photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share the untold stories and images of people who make your clothes. Everybody in the world wears clothes, But how many of us really know who makes them? The project was created to share and celebrate the lives of the people who make your clothing.

Can you tell us a little about your job?
I work on all new sample designs and have to closely liaise with the merchandising team and the production team as well as work with commercial vendors (Print & Embroidery). I love the challenge of developing new products.

Master Waqar Ali (Pattern Master)
You have been working at the factory for the last 10 years. What is your proudest moment here?
Gosh, I have experienced some great memories working in this company. But by far my proudest moment was when we shipped our first Soft Shell order.
It was in 2011, the CEO made a decision that the company is going to start working on more technical garments. It took my team around 6 months to perfect the Soft Shell patterns. After constant rejections and revisions of the style we got our first Soft Shell order in August 2011. Blood and sweat certainly paid off. It really felt great as we were the first factory in Faisalabad to do a Soft Shell Jacket order.
